 The mountains, high desert, and canyons of Northern New Mexico have an aesthetic all their own. It's not showy and lush like other parts of the world. You have to look and listen carefully to discover its subtle beauty~ like the way scents and colors emerge after a rainstorm, the trickle and surge or seasonal streams, and the various hues of lichen and vegetation. Nature has perfected the art of simple, elegant design that is more than just lovely- the organism's very survival depends on it. Likewise, these lamps are more than just a pretty glow- they are embedded with experience and the joy of discovery in nature. Each lamp was born out of precious time spent in the beauty of the outdoors, which is vital to my existence. Without the bounty that nature provides for us, none of us would be here. These artistic creations are my tribute to the land I love.
