This little beauty embodies the snowy mountains of Santa Fe in the spring. The Boxelder branches were harvested one April afternoon when the sun was shining and snow flurries whizzed through the air. The pink-hued, slender branches curve, giving this piece a whimsical feel. The harvest day was full of joy as my family playfully romped in deep snow, shaking pine boughs so they dropped their snow load on each other’s heads. The Thai mulberry paper is embedded with confetti shaped coconut and kozo fibers. It is a thicker paper (35 GSM), but the natural color allows for greater translucence. Perfect as the centerpiece of a dining table, since there is no cord. The lamp structure sits atop a battery powered LED puck light.
