Lavender Field was created in January of 2017, when the flowers and growth of the previous season were just memories. Lush lavender fields dot northern New Mexico and the intoxicating fragrance of the dried flowers carry one through winter until spring arrives again. The willow with catkins were harvested the previous spring and then cured. This lamp is papered with very sheer, pale amethyst-colored Thai Unryu mulberry paper on the inner layer, and plum-colored Japanese Ogura lace paper on the outside. This lamp is perfect as the centerpiece of a dining table, since there is no cord. The lamp structure sits atop a battery powered LED puck light.
