The various shades of blue and black with streaks of gold remind me of how light plays on clean, deep water. Harvested close to Cochiti Lake, the brilliant red of the Tamarisk, or Salt Cedar branches offer a striking contrast to the deep blue of the paper. A very thirsty, non-native plant of our region, Tamarisk is often found on the banks of lakes and other bodies of water. Soak in the cool, refreshing, and calming light of Tidal Pool. Multiple panels of Thai Momi paper give depth and varying opacity to the paper. The shadows that are cast on the ceiling from this lamp resemble a bird in flight. Set on a triangular base with a cord and socket lighting unit. A 25W LED bulb should last for 20 years without needing to be changed.
